My Uncle and Aunt used to bring this back for me and my sister from holidays in Scotland and we loved it (it was not at all like the rock we knew from English sea side resorts) Pretty pastel coloured pieces of hard fondant that as you suck go soft and crumbly in your mouth. It is very sweet with subtle flavours of perfume and fruit except for the brown pieces which have a wonderful ginger flavour. Ross's version of this confection is more crumbly in texture than the Buchanans variety which we also stock.
