Founded in 1920 by HAns RIegel in the German city of BOnn, Haribo have grown into a large and successful company with 12 factories in Europe including the old Dunhill factory in Yorkshire.
Their most famous product the Gold Bear is the younger brother of the Dancing Bear devised by Hans Reigel in 1922 and on which his initial success was built. The Dancing Bear was a bit taller and slimmer than the Gold Bear. Now Haribo produce 70 million bears every day
